a little ear candy

February 24th, 2007

One of the lovely folks I met in Sweden recently pointed me to some great Swedish music. There’s a lively electronic music scene over there, which he’s into, and naturally the music that he recommends tends to lean in that direction.

I got a big kick out of this song in particular. Does it sound familiar? Here’s a Youtube video to refresh your memory.

Here’s another Swedish electronic song I’ve been listening to non-stop.

Enjoy!

I have several of The Knife’s songs from iTunes. Quirky but fun stuff, especially “We Share Our Mother’s Health.”

I listen to a lot of streaming stations these days; beirutnights.com is my current go-to.

    Hey fetched :).

I had a similar impression of the Knife. The video for Heartbeats is also really well done, imho (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZatCZ1YWQeI).

I tried to buy both a Sci-Fi SKANE and The Knife albums online, but the websites are based in Sweden and won’t accept non-European downloads and/or purchases. I’ll check out iTunes, as you mentioned. Thanks for the beirutnights station, I’ll definitely check it out. I love Middle Eastern music but don’t know much about it. This station might be a good introduction.
